Every Friday at The George, it’s Fish & Fizz Night.  Running alongside our A La Carte menu, we’re offering the best haddock and chips this side of the Watford Gap. Served with Chef Andy’s homemade tartare sauce alongside his famous mushy peas or curry sauce, all created in our kitchens, this classic British dish is exactly what is needed after a long week…

For two people:

Enjoy George Best-battered haddock, freshly cut chips, home-made mushy peas, curry and tartare sauces with a bottle of Italian sparkling Blanc de Blanc or a four-pint pitcher of any draught beer or cider for £59 (excluding Asahi).

Or with a bottle of house Champagne £69.

Served 12-3pm and 5-8pm. Also available to take away 5-8pm.  Full a la carte menu also available.

Even if you’re not feeling fishy, our delicious sparkling Italian Blanc de Blancs is still just £25, while house Champagne is £35.
