Welcome

The George at Upton is nearing completion of a £200,000 total refurbishment. No stone has been left un-turned in delivering what we hope is the next-level pub and restaurant experience.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The George is conveniently located in the heart of the village and less than 5 minutes from the A34, providing easy access from both north and south. We are also very well placed for walks and cycle routes from local villages and beyond.

Our business is young and evolving every day, so please keep checking back on progress, and do feel free to drop us a line with any comments, suggestions or feedback. General Manager Shona and her team are always here to help.

Christmas at The George At Upton

Our first Christmas at The George promises to be very special. Join us to enjoy our Christmas party menus, on Christmas and Boxing Days, as well as our New Year’s Eve party.

MON & TUE

Café open for breakfast, brunch and snacks from 9am - 3pm, lunch served from noon until 3pm.
Pub open until 9pm or later.
Hot one-pot dining dishes and sharing platters only are available on these evenings.

WED, THUR & FRI

Café open for breakfast, brunch and snacks from 9am - 3pm, lunch served from noon until 3pm, dinner from 5pm.
Pub open until 11pm or later.

SAT

Café open for breakfast, brunch and snacks from 9am - 3pm.
Food served all day in the pub and restaurant from 12 noon to 9pm.
Pub open until late.

SUN

Food served in the pub and restaurant from 12 noon to 6pm.
Pub open until late.

EAT

We offer a blend of modern and traditional dishes, which will evolve as the business grows. Diners can enjoy the bustling ambiance of the pub and café, or our dedicated new restaurant.
